For those sick of the typical sit down restaurant service found at most establishments, there is FiRE + iCE to help change things up. Located near the Public Garden in Boston’s Back Bay, its unique buffet style allows guests to choose from a selection of Italian, Asian, American or Latin ingredients as they fill their bowl to the brim. Vegetarians can easily avoid meat products, while parents are able to leave out what their choosy children will not eat. One popular dish combination recommended by the restaurant is a mango garlic pork stir-fry.
Next, patrons bring their bowls to one of the chefs at the enormous circular grill. There, guests stand around the bar-like counter forming an outer circle around the grill, mouths watering, as they watch the culinary masters prepare their food in hibachi style. Food can be prepared on a separate grill in the back kitchen for those with food allergies. This all you can eat meal can be purchased for less than $20, or less with other special discounts.
While waiting, visitors can admire the amazing modern design featuring numerous stainless-steel surfaces, as well as abstract shapes exploding from the ceiling and walls.
FiRE + iCE also features an incredible breakfast food selection for brunch that features stations for omelets, crepes and pancakes. Or, for those visiting after-hours, there is Under FiRE, the trendy bar underneath the restaurant that is commonly frequented by an energetic young adult crowd.
