“Fish to Fork has become such a special event for the community and beyond over the years, and this year’s competition is slated to be the best one yet,” said Executive Chef Omar Collazo. “I am particularly excited as this will be my first year participating in the competition and we are bringing in some phenomenal chefs from the region who are sure to bring their unique interpretations to our local Amelia Island cuisine.”
The weekend culinary event begins with each chef embarking on a fishing excursion on Friday, Sept. 30. At the Main Event on Saturday, Oct. 1, they transform their catch of the day into a signature dish, before two teams of three chefs compete in a team challenge using a surprise secret ingredient later that night. During the evening, guests taste and vote on both individual and team dishes. In addition to that winner, competing chefs also vote to determine the Chef’s Choice winner.
