Seriously, why do people do this? Jealously is sure to rear its ugly head at some point, whether from your significant other or the ex him/herself. Just leave your used goods where you left them and move on.
The Mean MIL
Look, you pretty much know whether or not you’re going to get along with your future mother-in-law long before the wedding day arrives so you might as well cut your losses now. The day is supposed to be happy and peaceful, not judgmental and bitter.
Anyone’s Kids
Okay, this is multiple people in one category really. Weddings are no place for children, unless you desperately want them to scream and throw tantrums while you’re reciting your vows. That’s always fun, right?
The Alcoholic Friend/Relative
Let’s be honest, most people attend wedding receptions as an excuse to drink for free. Bring in a guest who doesn’t know the meaning of “one too many” and you’ve got yourself a recipe for disaster that’ll result in drunken trust falls onto the cake and a story about the time you showed the world all your body parts during spring break.
Your Frenemy
We’re not sure why you’re still talking to this passive aggressive nut job in the first place, but now’s a great time to ditch him/her. There’s no need for a friend who’s going to congratulation you on your big day while snidely giving you a back-handed compliment on your choice of attire.
