Just outside of Nashville, Tennessee, sits the charming and historic town of Franklin. Ahead of the 225th anniversary of the town’s founding, visitors can experience the destination in a new way with the newly launched Williamson County’s Historic Trail.

The trail — which features a downloadable digital passport — features 20 points of interest around the area. Travelers can visit historic homes, a battlefield, fort, parks and more, all of which reflect the county’s history through various eras, from the Civil War to the Great Depression to the Civil Rights movement. After visiting five of the 20 locations, passport holders can claim a limited-edition, custom leather coaster at Franklin’s visitors center.

“We have seen an incredible demand for at-your-own-pace ways to explore our community, and we are excited to add this history pass that will let guests and locals both take in the vast history we have throughout Williamson County in an approachable and leisurely way,” said Maureen Thornton, president and CEO, Visit Franklin. “As our community begins celebrating a number of anniversaries later this year, like the 225-founding anniversary, this was the perfect time to launch a new experience highlighting our history.”
