A popular item at the 2016 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas this year, Xibot recently completed a successful crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo, with more than $30,000 raised to support the smart social robot.
The device functions like an at-home personal assistant with its abilities; Xibot is able to fill users in on their schedule for the day, give important details like news and weather forecasts and even gently wake them up in the morning.
The robot features a voice-activated command function that responds directly to questions and also includes the ability to monitor the house when the owner leaves with its camera features located in the front and back. Through the robot’s built-in WiFi, users can remotely control Xibot anywhere and anytime.
Its usefulness is not just limited to your home; Xibot is a great companion at parties, especially as a photographer. If owners ask the robot to take a picture, Xibot will snap a picture of every smiling face and upload to the user’s chosen social network.
Not only functional and useful, Xibot is also cute, with a robot design that looks nothing like the Terminator. The device features a small body, large round face and cat-like ears.
One of the most affordable smart home assistants, Xibot starts from $299 and is available with blue or pink ears.
