Gladiator II recently hit theaters and luxury travel company Red Savannah unveiled its newest itinerary, which is inspired by the film. This follows popular itineraries inspired by Bridgerton and Wonka.
Explore the lands of your new favorite movie with this five-night journey though some of Italy’s most fascinating Roman sites, starting in Rome before traveling to Naples and the ruins of Pompeii, and the Amalfi Coast.
Here’s a closer look at some of the highlights of the itinerary:
- A tour of the Colosseum, entering through the exclusive Gladiators’ entrance
- A behind-the-scenes tour of the Pantheon, one of ancient Rome’s best-preserved buildings
- A visit to Stadium of Domitian, 5 meters beneath Piazza Navona and built in AD 80 as an athletic stadium
- Time at Castel Sant’Angelo to learn more about Emperor Hadrian’s legacy
- Cycle Via Appia, the historic “Queen of the Roads,” to explore catacombs
- A helicopter ride over Vesuvius and Pompeii
- Learn more about the latest excavations at Pompeii with a Vesuvian archaeologist
- A visit to Archaeological Museum in Naples
- Relax on the stunning Amalfi Coast
- A private boat trip to the island of Capri
- Lunch at Lo Scoglio with wine made from grapes grown on volcanic soil and limoncello
An additional supplement allows travelers to transfer from Rome to Naples via helicopter rather than train.
