Code-named the Motorola Shamu, tons of information about the Google Nexus 6 has been circulating, making official news on the device all the more anticipated.
Previous rumors suggested the Nexus X would be built by LG, but more recent information states it will be manufactured by Motorola, and is expected to have a 5.92-inch display with a resolution of 2560 by 1440 pixels. It will feature a 13-megapixel primary camera with a two-megapixel front-facing camera and may be available in 32- and 64-gigabyte versions.
The device will run on a 2.7 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, an Adreno 420 graphics card, three gigabytes of RAM and a 3,200 mAh battery. It’s expected to ship with Android L, the upcoming release of the Android operating system expected later this year.
It was announced earlier this year that the first half of 2014 would see no new Nexus device, and news about the Nexus X is still uncertain, but most believe it safe to assume a new Nexus device is just around the corner. It’s expected to be released in October or November
