Grenada kicks off 2022 with a roster of sailing and fishing events. The Caribbean island is known for hosting boating, yachting and fishing events year-round. Grenada is home to eight globally recognized marinas.
“We’ve had a hiatus of events on island due to the pandemic, and we’re thrilled to be welcoming back the sailing community that continues to choose Grenada as a top destination for their events,” said Petra Roach, CEO, Grenada Tourism Authority. “The nautical niche is one where we’ve got competitive advantage and these events are a true testament to our island’s ability to deliver extraordinary nautical experiences.”
Spice Island Billfish Tournament
The 52nd annual tournament will be held at Grenada Yacht Club Jan. 25–29. The game fishing tournament draws visitors from the Caribbean and the United States.

Grenada Sailing Week 2022
The sailing event kicks off Jan. 27 at Petite Calivigny Yacht Club. Instead of the regular week-long regatta, this year’s event will feature three days’ worth of sailing races.
Royal Ocean Racing Club Transatlantic Race
The competitive sailing race runs Jan. 8–29. Spanning 3,000 nautical miles, the 29-yacht race features teams from all over the world.
Viking Explorers Transatlantic Rally
The second edition of this rally will take place late January through early February. The family-friendly event will feature a maximum of 25 boats.
Later in 2022, Grenada will host the Petite Martinique Whitsuntide Regatta in May/June and the Carriacou Regatta in August.
