Hotel Lilien officially opens in the Catskills in Tannersville, New York, this November following a soft opening in late August. The 18-room boutique property lies within a renovated and redesigned 1890s estate.
“We set out to create a welcoming upstate escape for visitors, and an unofficial living room for community members,” said Jason Marcus, co-owner and managing partner, Hotel Lilien. “Since our soft opening in August, we’ve been overwhelmed by the support, enthusiasm, and appreciation for this hub that’s long been missing from the region. As per our ethos, people just want to stay awhile.”
Set on eight acres, the property is also home to a bar, lounge and vintage library. Its adjacent sister restaurant, Nat’s Mountain House (formerly Chateau Belleview), opens spring 2023. Guests may take advantage of an artist-in-residence program, showcasing works from local artists. The works of art are available for purchase. Take a nature hike led by the property’s New York State-licensed nature guide. The resort’s pool will be open during spring and summer.
Guests experience a mix of modern and vintage throughout the property, with antique furniture, original wood paneling, modern light fixtures, Brooklinen bedding and Wright mattresses.
The property is conveniently located near Hunter Mountain, downtown Tannersville, Mountain Top Arboretum, and Kaaterskill Falls.
