Get into the holiday spirit with a visit to Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown, Virginia. The area has a vast array of holiday fun on tap.
Through Jan. 5, see the largest Christmas celebration in Virginia at Christmas Town at Busch Gardens. All throughout the month, expect holiday entertainment, seasonal dining and millions of lights.
On select dates throughout December, check out Court Street Williamsburg Christmas Market, where 40 vendors set up in classic holiday chalets. Here, find not only Christmas gifts, but also beer, music, food and more.
Take to the waterfront for the Yorktown Lighted Boat Parade, Dec. 7. In addition to watching boats sailing by, enjoy live music and complimentary hot cider. While in Yorktown, don’t miss the Dec. 7–8 Yorktown Christmas Market on Main, with its nearly 100 vendors.
Can’t make either of the above markets? Perhaps you can catch the Mistletoe Market Dec. 14, with its family-friendly activities, entertainment and myriad vendors.
Lastly, of course, you can’t visit this section of the country without soaking in the history, no matter the season. From Dec. 20 through Dec. 31, experience a historic look at holiday traditions at Christmastide in Virginia.
