Tips / Destination

The Balearic Island of Ibiza is a paradise for lovers of dance music. Follow these tips to make the most of your stay.

Figure Out Your Style

No point going to a club that doesn’t play music you like. If you have picky taste, plan your stay according to the residencies, as one night can sound drastically different from another.

Bring Enough Cash

Despite the peace, love and unity, Ibiza is still more rooted in club culture than raves. That means it’s going to be expensive with all the day drinking, tickets, bar tabs and taxis. You can save some money by getting your tickets online or presale (promoters often sell them during the day).

Dress Well, But Comfortably

The dress codes are rather relaxed on Ibiza unless you’re trying to get into a VIP lounge. The most important thing to remember is to have a pair of comfortable shoes since you’ll be doing a lot of walking in addition to dancing.

Stay Hydrated and Well Rested

A week on the island can be draining, so make sure you’re at the top of your game with a full night of rest or at least a nap on the beach. The Mediterranean sun can also be harsh, especially when drinking alcohol, so buy plenty of bottled water (don’t drink the tap water).
