The first-ever Adirondack Winter Pride Weekend takes place in Lake Placid, New York, March 7–9, 2025. Adirondack North Country Gender Alliance, in partnership with I LOVE NY, Olympic Regional Development Authority and Regional Office of Sustainable Tourism, present the inaugural event.
“The event promises to be an exciting time to visit this winter sports destination. This is a great opportunity to bring our LGBTQ+ community, our families, and allies together for a spectacular weekend to enjoy the fun, excitement, splendor and history of our region. Whether enjoying our skiing venues or exploring other local attractions, guests will be making our Adirondack Winter Pride Weekend a “must attend” annual event for years to come,” said Kelly Metzgar, executive director, Adirondack North Country Gender Alliance.
This exciting three-day event supports the LGBTQIA+ community through a lineup of winter activities for visitors of all ages. Kick off the weekend at the welcome party. Experience thrilling winter sport activities including cross-country skiing, ice skating and downhill skiing at local Olympic venues. Use the Lake Placid Legacy Sites winter passport for special access. Available at a discounted rate, the passport also includes entry to Lake Placid Olympic Museum, gondola rides and après-ski party on Saturday night.
