Finding an affordable, chic and centrally located hotel in New York City can be a challenge. The INNSIDE New York NoMad is a rare find; located in the heart of Chelsea, this European-style hotel offers design and an ideal location.
Just a quick walk from the Penn Station and within minutes of shopping, dining and NYC landmarks, this venue is ideal for a quick overnight trip to the city.
I had the unique opportunity to spend the day in the city and stay overnight at the INNSIDE’s flagship hotel in New York. I had been to the venue before for an event, but was eager to see the guestrooms, which did not disappoint. The space was modern, functional and well lit, making the modest-sized room spacious and open.
The on-site restaurant, Imperro Cafè by Scott Conant, offers a warm and inviting atmosphere with swanky decor, an upscale lounge vibe and beautiful street-side dining. The outdoor space is reminiscent of an alfresco European café complete with Italian fare and cozy seating.
The complomentary mini fridge stocked with drinks and an incredibly comfortable sweatshirt robe were both nice touches to the guestroom. Between the friendly hotel staff, chic design and ideal location of the INNSIDE New York NoMad, this is one hotel I would be happy to visit again.

While New Orleans is the destination for Mardi Gras, if you want to experience a slightly smaller scene (and maybe pay less for your travel while you’re at it), consider celebrating the occasion in another nearby locale: Coastal Mississippi. Mardi Gras events already kicked off in the region earlier this month, with future events running through March 4.
