Traveling overseas doesn’t always mean you get to look like you just rolled out of bed. Sometimes you might need to throw on a fancy suit or at least dress up before hitting the town. Without an iron, which many foreign hotels lack, you could run the risk of dressing like a hobo if you don’t know the alternatives to ironing.
Take a Shower
Steam is essential to smoothing out wrinkles and one great way to acquire steam is through a hot shower. Hang your clothes in the bathroom while you clean yourself off and they should be wrinkle-free by the time you get out.
Use a Hair Straightener
Hair straighteners don’t have to be just for hair. You can even use them on clothes, thanks to the bevvy of settings these days. Gently run your delicates through them and you’ll find them crisper than ever.
Use a Hair Dryer
If you have a portable hair dryer on hand it can help to eliminate wrinkles. Hang your clothes and stand a couple feet away. Hold the hair dryer roughly two inches from your clothes and blow the wrinkles away. This method works best on cotton.
Get a Spray Bottle
Spray bottles are available in almost every country and, combined with a little water, they’re the easiest way to wipe away wrinkles from clothes. Spray the affected garments with a light mist, then hang them and let them air dry. The wrinkles should simply fade away.
