Marshall Headphones and Marshall Amplification released their first portable active stereo speaker, the Kilburn. Available in black and cream, the speaker will be available in June at retailers in more than 100 countries and online for $300.
Kilburn is an unrestricted speaker, with no wires or cords. Its built-in battery offers up to 20 hours of listening time, and it is lightweight at three kilograms. Touted as one of the loudest speakers in its class, its construction with a compact stout-hearted hero provides well-balanced audio, offering articulate and pronounced sounds. An analog knob allows for tuning and a leather strap ensures portability. The amplifier-styled speaker delivers exceptional sound.
The active stereo loudspeaker with bass reflex systems has multiple inputs, including a double-ended coil cord with 3.5mm stereo plugs, Bluetooth standard and 3.5mm input.
The Marshall legacy began in the 1960s with Jim Marshall’s search to give local guitarists a heavier, crunchier and richer sound. He started with the JTM45 amp, which reverberated with a heavier sound than ever before possible. The legacy continues today with the Kilburn and a range of other products.
