Juicing is taking the United States by storm, and Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants is ensuring travelers can keep up with their healthy, juicing lifestyle while on the road. The hotel brand’s fresh juice menu features three delicious, healthy blends made from local fruits and vegetables. Available at 22 U.S. Kimpton restaurants, the program should be rolled out across the brand by the end of the year.
The 16-ounce juices sell for $8–12. Executive Chef Christian Graves of Jsix in San Diego, Calif., crafted the recipes using healthy, local ingredients. The juices are highlighted on breakfast, lunch and pool menus for restaurant and hotel guests, and are made using either a Cold Press Juicer or Centrifugal Juice Extractors.
The three types of juices include:
- Being Green: A nutrient-rich mix of cucumber, celery, spinach, kale and lemon.
- Beets Me: A combination of red beets, carrots, ginger and cilantro.
- Local Only: A cocktail of local farm produce with the host chef’s touch; varies by location.
Fresh juices are available at Kimpton restaurants in Miami; Los Angeles; La Jolla, Calif.; Santa Barbara, Calif.; San Diego; Phoenix; San Francisco; Philadelphia; and Portland, Ore.
Other wellness options at Kimpton include a partnership with PUBLIC Bikes to offer free bike rentals at all properties; and Kimpton-custom yoga mats, designed in conjunction with Gaiam, in guestrooms.
