Getting ready to plan a trip to a sunny locale, and wondering where the best LGBT-friendly beach destinations are? Wonder no more — here are some of the most fun and friendly beaches around the world.

Sydney, Australia

The most populous city in Australia, Sydney has six gay-friendly beaches popular for LGBT travelers. Among them are Tamarama Beach, Bronte Beach and North Bondi Beach. According to Gaycities’ Sydney page, gay men and lesbians have traditionally hung out at the north end of Bondi Beach and the grass along the beachside.

Tel Aviv, Israel

Over the past several years, Tel Aviv has become a premier destination for LGBT travelers thanks to the city’s trendy bar scene, sought-after parties and beach atmosphere. Many LGBT sunbathers have found paradise at Hilton Beach, an area of coastline just below Tel Aviv’s Hilton Hotel, located between Metzitzim Beach and the Tel Aviv Marina.

Brighton, England

Brighton’s seafront boasts bars, restaurants, clubs and amusement arcades between the piers, and the area is known to be popular with LGBT locals and visitors alike. Brighton Beach has a nudist area, south of the easterly part of Kemptown — known as the gay village. West Beach, Telscombe Cliffs, Duke’s Mound and Shoreham are a few hot spots for beachgoers.

These destinations and many, many more — from Spain to Canada to Hawaii and beyond — offer an inclusive atmosphere for all travelers, ensuring an enjoyable getaway.
