Lindisfarne: The Island Where You Need to Spend Easter

Lindisfarne derives its nickname, Holy Island, from its status as the once-home to St. Cuthbert, Northumbria’s patron saint. Pilgrims now descend upon this island, called the epicenter of Celtic Christianity, every Easter weekend.

The island is secluded and filled with wildlife and spectacular views, particularly in the spring. It sits just off the Northumberland coast, with a connecting, 3-mile causeway obstructed by the tide twice daily.
