Dreams of castles, rolling green landscapes and quaint hillside villages are just a few of the fairy-tale elements that draw travelers to Europe, particularly Germany. Followers of fantasy can become even more engrossed in the literary experience by visiting Grimm World in Kassel, Germany.
In the birthplace and hometown of the Grimm Brothers, Jacob and Wilhelm, visitors can travel back in time and share the inspirational environment in which the brothers penned more than 200 different centuries-old fairy tales. At Grimm World, guests of all ages can participate in interactive exhibits that bring to life some of the brothers´ most beloved stories. Take a seat and dine with the seven dwarfs just like Snow White did in the Grimms’ fairy tale. Live theatre performances will take place where characters from the stories will come to life both on stage and off.
With both indoor and outdoor attractions, this family-friendly park situated between Berlin and Frankfurt allows kids of all ages to retreat to a simpler time when fairy tales were the stories of legend and when all that mattered was a sense of imagination.
The museum also features exhibits including original documentation and manuscripts of some of the brothers´ early compositions. Grimm World anticipates welcoming approximately 80,000 visitors per year.
