Mandai Rainforest Resort by Banyan Tree will open in April 2025 and deliver a nature-inspired stay within Mandai Wildlife Reserve, Singapore’s integrated wildlife and nature destination. From the architecture to the interiors, the resort’s entire design harmonizes with the environment. Sitting on a little more than 11 acres, guests will enjoy direct access to Singapore Zoo, Night Safari, River Wonders, Bird Paradise and the upcoming Rainforest Wild.

“We invite everyone who stays here to embrace being nature’s guest. For many of us who are ‘urban jungle dwellers’, this may mean adapting to a new rhythm, accepting that wildlife, nature and the weather are indifferent to our urban desires and conveniences,” said Teo Joo Leng, chief product officer, Mandai Wildlife Group. “We encourage guests to embrace this experience with a MRR mindset. Coined after the acronym for Mandai Rainforest Resort, it encourages us to be mindful about giving nature space, to reconnect with nature on its terms, and to renew our sense of stewardship for the environment. We hope every guest arrives ready to have meaningful experiences in nature.”
Designed by WOW Architects, the 338-room resort seamlessly melds with the surrounding forest scape. A nearly 40-foot-tall Rain Tree and an Indian Beech tree will greet guests. The lobby boasts nature-inspired light features and bespoke furniture. As part of the experience, resort associates share local stories and cultural insights. Accommodations include 24 tree houses alongside 314 guestrooms and suites. Artwork details the forest’s complexity, while windows fully open and ambient room temperatures are regulated to mimic the atmospheric temperatures. An in-room interactive display shows power consumption levels, and rainwater is collected and repurposed for the flushing system in every room.

From exclusive wildlife encounters in the parks right next door to rejuvenating spa treatments, every moment will be thoughtfully crafted to captivate the senses. We invite guests to experience a home away from home, where every moment inspires mindfulness, discovery and a deeper connection to self and the surroundings.”
