One of the top couples retreats in the world, Marriage Restorations Project’s Getting the Love You Want recently announced new retreats coming to Belize, Costa Rica and Arizona.
Rabbi Shlomo and Rivka Slatkin created Marriage Restoration Project 20 years ago when their own marriage hung by a string. Imago Therapy helped save their marriage and inspired them to help others in a similar situation. The duo went on to study and specialize in Imago Therapy, wrote books and now offer unique workshops based on the form of therapy.
Getting the Love You Want focuses on transforming conflicts into healing and growth by examining early childhood experiences of each person. Throughout the five-day retreat, couples become deeply heard by their spouses through a safe process, discover and shed personal triggers undermining connection, comfortably talk about issues in the relationship while remaining connected and experience a physical and emotional connection. Couples also learn how to ask for what they want; remove negativity, retaliation, reactivity, anger and blame through a trusted process; establish new rituals for re-romanticizing their relationship; and learn to shift the negative energy.
The retreat in Belize runs Oct. 26–30, at Naia Resort & Spa. Start the new year off in Costa Rica at the retreat at El Mangrove, Autograph Hotel in Guanacaste, Costa Rica, Jan. 25–29, 2023. Lastly, the Arizona retreat will be held April 23–26, 2023, at Civana Wellness Resort & Spa in the Sonoran Desert.
