Micro Luggage could be one of the most innovative travel products on the market: A scooter that transforms into a carry-on suitcase with wheels. The hybrid is a result of a three-year collaboration between scooter manufacturer Micro Mobility and luggage giant Samsonite.
At first glance, Micro Luggage looks like your average carry-on bag. Pull the footboard down and lift up the handle, which doubles as the steering bar, and the bag turns into a kick scooter in a matter of seconds.
Micro Luggage can support a rider up to 220 pounds. It weighs 10 pounds and can hold up to 26 pounds worth of stuff. When folded, it fits in the standard overhead compartment of most airplanes. The suitcase has several compartments, including a main one for clothing and a padded sleeve ideal for laptops and other electronics. Due to its compact size, Micro Luggage is well suited for quick getaways and short business trips.
Micro Luggage is security-checkpoint compliant, so you can glide right to your gate in no time. If you’re looking to save time and turn heads at the airport, this is the way to go.
A new and improved version, Micro Luggage Reloaded, is now available at $349, and there is even a Steve Aoki edition available.
