The brand-new restaurant concept Miro arrives in London in the heart of Mayfair on Burlington Street. Executive Chef Toby Burrowes, who previously worked at Michelin-starred Elystan Street, leads the kitchen to provide a menu promising an opulent Mayfair interpretation of global favorites. Accompanying eclectic interiors and striking vibrant and neon colors, these dishes create a unique dining experience for guests.
Using his extensive knowledge and experience from traveling the world, Burrowes creates both small and large dishes with dramatic presentations to represent some of the best cuisines across Asia, Europe and South America. Highlighted small-plate dishes include king crab and confit garlic croquettes, truffled cheese toasties, mini brioche beef tartare caviar tins, bone marrow brûlée and Miro’s take on fish and chips, comprised of layers of crispy potato, fatty tuna and wasabi tartare.
Larger dishes consist of various cuts and sizes of quality steaks, yuzu and sake lobster thermidor. Miro’s larger plates feature vegan Josper grilled celeriac served on trifled butter bean puree and a roasted hazelnut pesto; jumbo tiger prawns; and whole baby chicken. Miro also offers guests the chance to indulge in its caviar pasta, a fresh linguine with a light and zesty parmesan sauce topped with a generous helping of fine caviar.
Perhaps Miro’s most iconic dish will be the sunken treasure chest. At a whopping £3,000, this showstopper boasts one kilogram of caviar surrounded by a variety of nibbles like blinis, mini brioche buns, mini croissants and an array of condiments.
For dessert, try the milk chocolate cookie tin baked fresh to order and served with vanilla ice cream. Those wanting to recreate a mini version of a camping trip can enjoy the ‘roast your own smores’ dish, presented to guests with a small BBQ to cook marshmallows over an open fire. Miro also features salted caramel popcorn souffle, served with vanilla ice cream and hot salted caramel.
Against a backdrop of hand-painted murals, exposed brickwork and live DJs, Miro invites guests to also enjoy a drink from its extensive menu. In addition to rare and vintage cocktails ranging from £500 to £50,000, the menu boasts a lively lounge and bar area for up to 30 guests.
Miro is open Wednesday–Sunday from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m.
