Whether you are an urban backpacker or wilderness explorer with a talent for cooking, it can be hard express your culinary palate with only a backpack.Travelers looking to give their dishes a kick while on the road are now blessed with the Mobile Foodie Survival Kit, a portable spice rack from PLANT.

 

The kit comes with 13 plastic, BPA-free containers filled with a little more than a tablespoon of organic spices which includes salt, black pepper, cayenne, onion, basil, cinnamon, oregano, garlic, thyme, curry, rosemary, ginger and dill. The spice pots are stackable, and fit together in a compact carrying tube that measures about nine inches long and 1.5 inches in diameter, making it compact enough to tuck away in a backpack.

All the herbs and spices are grown organically without antibiotics, hormones or pesticides, and have been certified by the Department of Agriculture. The spice rack is also assembled in Brooklyn, New York by Brooklyn Unlimited, a division of the non-profit Brooklyn Community Services, which employs adults with physical and mental disabilities.
