Modern Great Smoky Mountains Campground Celebrates Grand Opening

Roamstead, a collection of modernized campgrounds, officially opened its flagship site adjacent to Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Referred to as Roamstead Smoky Mountains, its location in Cosby, Tennessee, offers an enhanced camping experience to welcome adventurous travelers to encounter the magic of the outdoors through genuine hospitality and elevated design.

Located just 25 minutes from the main Gatlinburg entrance and between GSMNP’s Cosby and Greenbriar entrances, accommodations at Roamstead Smoky Mountains include cabins with five different floorplans, RV/camper hook-ups, Yurts, tent sites and lodge rooms.

 

The lodge features a pavilion, outdoor heated pool, coffee shop and bar, and fire pits encouraging gatherings after a day of exploring the great outdoors.

Roamstead Smoky Mountains also boasts an activity yard, playground and movie nights, perfect for keeping younger adventurers entertained. Guests also have access to food and beverage options for breakfast and dinner, as well as a selection of regional beers.

 

Roamstead partnered with Friends of the Smokies, the philanthropic partner of GSMNP, to dedicate a portion of its proceeds from every stay to enhance the organization’s efforts in protecting the park.
