The iconic Grand Central Terminal in New York City welcomes new restaurants this year, representing a vibrant mix of industry innovators and beloved eating and drinking destinations.

Melba’s, a 2024 James Beard Award finalist and one of the premier comfort food destinations in the city hits the scene this year. Fans of Middle Eastern cuisine can enjoy build-your-own bowls, salads, rolls and tasty appetizers, and desserts at Naya.

SanWei is a fast-casual restaurant serving delicious rice, noodle dishes and pastrami sandwiches, while Joey Bats Café, which opened earlier this year, brings Portuguese flavors and dishes to New York with the famed pasteis de nata.

Visitors can also soon stop by Sabatino Truffles, the leading authority on fresh truffle and truffle products. This brand is the newest vendor in Grand Central Market.

These new restaurants comprise part of a dining revitalization at Grand Central Terminal. Last fall, the terminal opened Veselka and Wonderen Stroopwafel on the Dining Concourse. In January this year, Playa Bowls and Van Leeuwen Ice Cream served up sweet treats, and Taste NY reopened this March.

In addition to new restaurants, new retail spaces also open this year, including Charles Tyrwhitt, a British multichannel clothing retailer specializing in dress shirts, ties, suits, casualwear, shoes and accessories.
