Wedding

The Slater Mill Historic Site and Museum in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, is a quaint, riverside location for a wedding or reception.

In the 1700s, Slater Mill was the first successful cotton-spinning mill in the United States. The building and grounds were preserved and restored in the early 20th century, and it has been recognized in conjunction with the “Birthplace of the American Industrial Revolution.”

Today, Slater Mill includes three main historic structures, an exhibition gallery space, a rental hall and the Hodgson Battery Park. Views of the adjacent, churning Blackstone River also provide a romantic ambiance. The rustically charming Main Hall can accommodate up to 130 people, while up to 1,000 people can be accommodated for an outdoor event. A full kitchen is also available for your catering company.

Nearby Tom’s Market Catering is a local favorite for catering. They also provide custom planning services, decor and staffing for your event at Slater Mill. And their menu is surprisingly varied. Choose from simple soups and salads to the complete tavola alla tuscana menu.
