Ridgeland, Miss., announced plans for its first-ever tandem bike rally. One Behind the Other takes place the weekend of April 17–19. The main route for the inaugural rally is the Natchez Trace Parkway, running right through the city.

The event coincides with two of Ridgeland’s annual events: Santé South Wine Festival and Ridgeland Fine Arts Festival. “Ridgeland is excited to enhance one of our signature weekends,” said Mary Beth Wilkerson, director, Ridgeland Tourism Commission. “Activities such as Ridgeland OBO, Ridgeland Fine Arts Festival and Santé South Wine Festival create crossover appeal to all visitors and establish our city as a destination for any business and leisure traveler.”

On Friday, participants register then meet other riders while enjoying snacks and drinks at the Ridgeland OBO Social. Following breakfast on Saturday, cyclists begin the Natchez Trace Parkway ride, with options for a 20-, 40- or 60-mile route. Designated rest stops are placed along the route. Following the ride, participants have the option to spend the afternoon at the Ridgeland Fine Arts Festival and the evening at the Santé South Wine Festival. One Behind the Other winds down on Sunday with a 40-mile ride around the Ross Barnett Reservoir. The scenic route through Goshen Springs features beautiful flora and wildlife. The schedule is subject to change.

Registration for a team of two includes Saturday lunch, snacks, t-shirts, route maps and ride amenities.
