Locating specific articles of clothing amid the depths of your densely packed luggage can be a difficult task. Even when you do find what you are looking for, the contents of the suitcase are often left disheveled and unfolded, and need to be reorganized. However, the ShelfPack allows users to transform what appears to be a typical suitcase into an easily accessible, tiered clothing organization system. For fast-paced business travelers, this equates to quick and simple retrieval of clothes before the big meeting. Or, for families or couples who share their suitcase, the ShelfPack can provide a personal shelf or two to each user.
The ShelfPack ($350) uses retractable supports that extend to support the four shelves. When fully expanded, the highest shelf raises to 42 inches above the surface of the suitcase, allowing users to pack or access their belongings. When not in use, the shelves can be compressed down into the suitcase, decreasing the depth to a mere 14 inches. Additionally, the exterior features three compartments for storing jewelry, travel tickets or other accessories. The ShelfPack also features an externally mounted retractable handle, allowing users to fill every corner of the 6,365 cubic inches of interior. This product weighs in at 14.5 pounds and comes with a lifetime warranty.
The ShelfPack is currently on Kickstarter and can also be found at shelfpack.com.
