LGBTQIA+ residents and travelers to New York State will be delighted to add this new 2024 wintertime event to their roster of activities. The Capital Region’s first-ever Pride Ski Weekend will be held Jan. 20–21 at Belleayre Mountain, offering two days of slope-side fun for all.

Pride Center of the Capital Region will host the event in partnership with Belleayre Mountain, Ulster County Tourism & Office of Film, SKI NY and I LOVE NY LGBTQ. The 2024 ski weekend supports the state’s LGBTQIA+ community. Special lift ticket packages will be available for registered guests, and an Aprés Ski Tea Dance with DJ RVMBA brings in more fun on Jan. 21, 4–7 p.m. Travelers can take advantage of equipment rentals and ski lessons at the Olympic Authority venue. Additional events are in development, so keep an eye out for more information.

Event registration is free and ensures you have access to Pride Ski Weekend News and lift ticket package information.

“The Pride Center is proud to partner with New York State and local partners to bring this fabulous weekend to the Catskills. Our programming spans several counties, and we know the power and importance of visibility and community building wherever LGBTQ+ people live to build a culture of affirmation and support. We hope that this joyful event is an opportunity for people to make new friends and connections, shake off the cabin fever and discover wonderful spaces all across New York State to visit time and again,” said Nathaniel Gray, executive director, The Pride Center of the Capital Region.
