Meet the next generation of luggage: Trunkster, the ultimate luggage for travelers. The brand raised $50,000 within the first 24 hours of a Kickstarter campaign, and hit the $1 million mark before its campaign ended Jan. 16, making it the first million-dollar Kickstarter project of 2015.
The luggage is truly unique in its features, including zipper-less, front-loading entry for easy access to belongings, especially in tight places. Available in carry-on and checked-bag sizes, the luggage is equipped with removable batteries and USB ports for charging electronics on the go. Trunkster is GPS-enabled, allowing travelers to locate lost or stolen luggage, and a built-in scale weighs the contents to ensure travelers meet weight requirements. All products come with a five-year unconditional warranty.
Currently available in black, the company will consider using Kickstarter funds to offer different color options. The money raised will also go toward using a more advanced, high-quality construction, including reinforcing the wheel housings to accommodate a seamlessly integrated side handle and increasing the opening size of the bag.
Trunkster was created by two lifelong globetrotters on their travels from remote African islands to the streets of Havana. Learn more here.
