Tour Rome’s film locations with a new Sightseeing & Savor Experience from Sofitel Rome Villa Borghese, allowing hotel guests to book several guided tours visiting cinematic stops.
Some of the iconic sites to see include spots from La Grande Bellezza, Angels & Demons, Roman Holiday and La Dolce Vita. Guests can also choose a self-guided tour of the city with suggestions from Agostino Sità, the hotel’s concierge and former president of Rome Les Clefs d’Or. His former role gave him a unique knowledge of Rome’s hidden gems.
Following the day of film tours around the Eternal City, guests enjoy an Italian film-inspired dinner at the hotel’s on-site Settimo, followed by a cocktail and dessert pairing as a turndown service. The dinner’s tasting menu reflects iconic films based in Rome with dishes like minestrone, from the first scene in The Good, the Bad and the Ugly; toasted pistachio parmesan arancini, from The Godfather; and saltimbocca alla Romana, a favorite dish of the character Dino from Three Coins in the Fountain. The in-room cocktail and gelato flight seeks inspiration from Audrey Hepburn’s stop for a sweet at Rome’s Piazza di Spagna in Roman Holiday.
Book the Sightseeing & Savor offer and enjoy a three-night stay, daily breakfast, one Italian film-inspired dinner at Settimo and a turndown service amenity, with film tours booked separately.
