After COVID-19 saw a rise in travelers choosing to stay in retro motor lodges, it seems the trend shows no signs of slowing. Vacationers looking for a unique trip with limited interaction with other guests should consider staying at one of these retro motor lodges.

Hotel Cashiers, North Carolina

This recently renovated metro-lodge inn lies in the center of Cashiers in Jackson County. Offering upscale boutique accommodations, the former motel blends mountain-rustic vibes with modern design. The 18-room property is pet-friendly and lies near the mountains of Western North Carolina, creating a perfect basecamp for travelers looking to hike, fish, boat and bike. In addition to the rooms, Hotel Cashiers features a Wine and Provisions Shop, as well as more than 2,000 square feet of green outdoor space. The outdoor space boasts a garden and firepit.
