Trends / Unique Itineraries & Tours

There’s a new option for art-obsessed traveler. Street Art tours are becoming popular around the globe and are a perfect way to see a unique and cultural side of a new city.

Past Experiences stays true to its mission of encouraging visitors to personally interact with Johannesburg by offering graffiti tours and experiences. The two-hour tours take place in Jozi’s inner city communities and focuses on the history and culture of street art. There’s also the option to shadow working graffiti artists or participate in graffiti workshops.

Aspiring and professional photographers can sign up for one of Shoreditch Street Art Tours’ Night Photography Tours. For three hours, guides take clients to London’s most photogenic areas and assist with photo taking. Tripods are also available for loan.

After taking in the ruins, Greece explorers can experience a less traditional side of Athens by joining an Alternative Athens Street Art Tour. A local street artist guides groups pass the many murals, stencils and graffiti pieces that decorate Athens’ walls.

Skip the bustle of Times Square for a stroll through Brooklyn with Free Tours by Foot. The expedition focuses on the Bushwick area and showcases art from several well-known artists. There is also a stop at the famous outdoor street gallery, The Bushwick Collective. The pay what you can policy is perfect for budgeters.

Alternative Berlin’s Street Art Workshop & Tour provides a look at the work of more than 50 artists and a detailed workshop experience with local and international instructors. Guests practice their graffiti skills in an abandoned factory and can create their own souvenir canvas piece.
