Whether you just started training for your first 5K or you are a dedicated marathon runner, spend time in Virginia’s majestic Blue Ridge Mountains this summer to hone your skills and have some fun on a running vacation with ZAP Fitness.
Founded in 2001, the ZAP Fitness Foundation is a non-profit training center for post-collegiate, Olympic-hopeful distance runners as well as home to adult running vacations taking place throughout the summer guided by expert coaches.
Coaches and athletes celebrate their love for the sport during running vacations with a training plan designed to strengthen their skills, complete with daily jogs, individual video analysis and seminars on topics like race training and mental fitness.
Each summer session features a well-known guest speaker to educate and motivate runners, such as former Olympian and American record holder in the marathon Bill Rodgers, chief running officer at Runner’s World magazine Bart Yasso and former Olympian and national champion Carrie Tollefson.
In addition to fitness activities, the camps provide a variety of leisure pursuits like campfires and ice cream socials to create a perfect balance of running- and non-running activities.
Rates start from $645 for mini-camps and $895 for full-week camps.
Come to the mountains this summer and achieve your running goals.
