After being officially unveiled in early September, many are wondering what the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 brings to the table compared to its predecessor.
While the screen size remains the same (5.7 inches) the resolution has boosted to 500 pixels per inch. Not only does the adaptive display change depending on the available light, but Samsung decided to simultaneously announce the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge, which has a screen that curves around the spine of the phone almost as if its fall off the side.
In terms of memory, the phone boasts 32 gigs with the option to add 64 GB more via MicroSD card.
The camera has been upgraded from 13 megapixels to 16, and Smart Optical Image Stabilization is a feature that ensures crisp photos, free of blurring and smudging. In terms of selfies, the front-facing camera increased to 3.7 megapixels with a larger aperture to allow more lighting whenever taking some freelance mug shots. The popular panorama mode has also been added to take widescreen images.
Lastly, the stylus can now manipulate a picture if it is text, for example, to change some notes taken in class or in a meeting. Increased pressure sensitivity allows for easy use, and users can choose between a rubber tip (better for gaming) and a plastic tip (suitable for writing).
With no official release date, rumors are swirling of a possible early October drop. Price is rumored around $300 with contract, $600 without. You can learn more about the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 on their website.
