Adventure tour company Escape Adventures offers bicycling fans a four-day mountain biking tour in Santa Cruz, California. The four-day tour highlights Santa Cruz’s picturesque landscape, with visits to some of the city’s best parks for about 80 miles of biking.
“From lush coastal preserves to great spans of giant redwoods, this mountain biking tour is unlike any other offered by Escape Adventures,” said Jared Fisher, founder and director, Escape Adventures.
Day 1–2
The group meets in San Jose, California, and transfers to beachside Wilder Ranch State Park via shuttle. Cycle the Eucalyptus Bike Loop before being shuttled to Fort Ord National Monument to explore 28 miles of single-track.
Day 3-4
Head to Soquel Demonstration State Forest. Spend a full day exploring the mountain bike trails. The group spends the night out in downtown Santa Cruz. The last day brings guests to El Corte Madera State Park for a full day of riding among the redwoods before the shuttle returns to San Jose.
Pricing starts at $1,899 per person. The price includes transportation, meals (except where noted on the itinerary), snacks, group supplies, gear, park fees, permits and lodging. Two professionally trained trip leaders guide the group. The tour is available to book April, May, September and October.
