“A towel […] is about the most massively useful thing an interstellar hitchhiker can have.”
– Douglas Adams, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy
Sea to Summit aims to make it a little bit more useful with their Dry Lite Towel, a microfiber towel designed specifically for traveling.
Luggage space is the bane of every traveler’s existence, and it is only exacerbated when you realize you forgot to pack that bulky bathroom towel. Unlike the usual cotton variety, the Dry Lite packs down to 2 by 12 by 16 centimeters in a packaged carrying sack and weighs just 5 ounces. There are five sizes available, with the large measuring at 60 by 120 centimeters.
Sea to Summit’s travel towel is antimicrobial treated and made of 70 percent polyester, 30 percent nylon microfiber with a suede finish. In use, the towel is capable of absorbing a lot of water despite its thin construction. Though it lacks the plush softness of cotton, the Dry Lite dries quickly and has a loop tag for convenient hanging. If you’re looking for a heavier travel towel, take a look at Sea to Summit’s Tek Towel.
You can learn more about the Dry Lite and the Tek Towel at seatosummit.com.
