See Louisville’s Historic Side with These Tours

Don’t just come to Louisville for the bourbon. While you’re in town, also explore the city’s historic side. Louisville Historic Tours can help.

Louisville Historic Tours offers guided walks every day of the week, March through November in Old Louisville, a 45-block Victorian neighborhood filled with historic architecture and haunts. A mix of tours are available, with daytime tours looking at history and architecture and nighttime tours focusing on Louisville’s spooky side. During a daytime tour, you’ll see some of the neighborhood’s more than 1,000 historic homes, most built between 1885 and 1905, representing a wide range of architectural styles. During a nighttime tour, you’ll learn about haunted spots going beyond just the old homes; you’ll also venture to a park, church and even a street corner.

Specialty tours are also available if you book them by appointment. These tours focus on more niche topics, such as “the secrets and scandals of Old Louisville” or paranormal investigations.

Tours are led by award-winning author and folklorist David Dominé. Tour tickets start at just $25 and daytime tours start at 9 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., while nighttime tours start at 6 p.m., 7:30 p.m. and 9:15 p.m.
