Any wedding DIYer has probably had to incur extra stress thinking all those wedding-specific decorations may not be useable again in any situation. Those buntings, the string lights, the table cloths and centerpieces — some may look good in your home, while others might look out of place. And chances are you’re not going to use those cake toppers, flower girl baskets or untouched wedding favors ever again.
Fear not, DIYers: Several internet services are available for you to sell your gently used décor. You can list your centerpieces and more just about anywhere online, but these wedding-specific sites will have the exact audience you’re trying to reach. And many of them are free to use.
Options include Wedding Bee’s classified section, Tradesy, Ruffled Blog’s Recycle Your Wedding section and the website Wedding Recycle. Several of these sites are a bit rudimentary and can be a little challenging to use, but with some patience you’ll be on your way.
Consider, too, buying second-hand decorations as you’re shopping for your own wedding. This is not only environmentally friendly, but you’ll likely save a lot of money compared to buying new.
