Valencia, Spain’s, L’Oceanografic is the largest aquarium in Europe. It also boasts the largest underwater tunnel in Europe. There are more than 45,000 species of marine life on display. The building’s architecture resembles a giant wave. Open daily.
National Aquarium
Located in Baltimore, this aquarium is one of the most popular in the United States, drawing more than 51 million guests since its opening in 1981. It houses 20,000 fish, birds, amphibians, reptiles and marine mammals. Open daily.
This aquarium is located in Ocean Expo Park in Okinawa, Japan. It features a tank large enough to hold a whale shark. There is also a deep-sea tank, allowing visitors to see marine life that normally live below standard diving depths. Open daily.
