Finding an exciting trip excursion that’ll keep the kids happy and occupied can be a daunting task, but a shelling tour just might do the trick!
Destin Snorkel in Florida offers family-friendly shelling tours that’ll allow your kids to play in the surf while exploring for hidden treasure in the form of unique shells. There’s even a chance they’ll see dolphins!
The company puts on a popular ‘hermit crab’ race and even provides a touch tank where your little ones will be able to interact up-close with marine animals like puffer fish, seahorses and blue crabs. The experience takes place on and off a boat, where the captain will help entertain the kids and teach them all about marine life.
Afterward, he’ll set sail with the kids to explore the bay for signs of dolphin life. It’s an interactive learning experience that’s a ton of fun for children and adults alike. Waters here are shallow, so you don’t have to worry if your child hasn’t learned to swim. Floaties are highly recommended, though, just to be safe.
Free drinks are provided, but you’ll have to bring along your own snacks. Admission for children between 5 and 12 is $16, and $28 for adults. Children four and under are free!
