Adventure

Remote, untouched and wild: The high Himalayan peaks of Kashmir, India, offer deep powder and long runs guaranteed to delight skiers and snowboarders looking for an adventure.

Launched in 2010 in Gulmarg, Kashmir Heliski offers some of the finest heli-skiing, heli-boarding, guided backcountry skiing and snowboarding tours on the area’s towering Himalayas.

The company vows to provide the best “curry powder” adventure of a lifetime. Skiers coined the unique “curry powder” phrase to describe the fluffy snow powder on the smooth ski trails of the area.

According to Kashmir Heliski, “The high-quality “curry powder” snow with perfectly spaced pine trees, open alpine bowls and virgin and undiscovered peaks makes the experience the best in world. You will find tree-line skiing as a complete adrenaline rush as well as moderate skiing through some villages.”

The heli-skiing season in the region kicks off in January and typically lasts until the end of March. Kashmir Heliski features up to 60 “curry powder” runs starting from $2,400, for the upcoming ski season. All deals include seven days of skiing and snowboarding the Himalayas as well as at least 10 heli-runs and one night on a houseboat.
