Enjoying a cup of coffee while camping out in the wilderness often involves just a cup of boiled water and a powdery mix from a packet. It may feel as though there is no solace after waking up from a not-so-peaceful night of sleep under the stars. But, for a pretty penny, coffee lovers who also love camping can find a way to sip their desirable cups of espresso-based drinks.
Outdoor accessories company Snow Peak sells a Caffe Latte Set that brings the barista to wherever your camping tent is located. Made from titanium and stainless steel, the 13.3-ounce model is the lightest latte maker on the market and comes with a titanium French press and a titanium milk foamer.
To use the latte set, heat the water inside the cylindrical press, and then pour coffee grounds into the hot water and stir. Place the lid on the press and let it sit for three to four minutes. Then gently press the black knob down to press the coffee and it’s ready to serve.
To foam the milk, pour milk into the titanium foaming tin. Heat the milk slightly over a stove, let it sit for one minute and then stir. Place the foaming lid on the container, move the knob up and down for about 30 seconds, remove the lid and enjoy a layer or two of foamed milk on top of your latte.
The slightly expensive latte set comes with its own carrying case and can be purchased on Snow Peak’s website for $110.95.
