The Euro’s are starting, and for all you soccer fans, you must not be without these important apps to keep you up to date on every goal, miss, foul and injury of every game. Before we start, though, and especially if you’re going to be in Europe during the tournament, you should know a few things: Soccer is called football over there and if the game ends with the same amount of goals scored by both teams, that is a draw, not a tie.
Now that your vocabulary is ready, get your smartphone ready.
If you want to keep up with the minute details of each game, download LiveScore Euro 2016. Each fixture is detailed with all the information you might need, and accurate statistics are relayed to your phone as they happen. It’s a good app, so you should start here.
The UEFA Euro 2016 Fan Guide is useful. If you’re going to travel around France solely to see the games, you need to download this app. It will not only tell you about the details of the matches, but it will help you with the venues, each city’s transport systems and will even help you with lodging if you haven’t already arranged that.
BBC Sport is a reliable app with a dedicated, professional team in charge of bringing you up-to-date information about all of the games. You can also use it to set your favorite team to keep track of them throughout the tournament.
Now, you’re all set to follow the Euros, but just remember to call it football!
