Soneva Fushi in the Maldives unveils its latest offering for adventurous guests. Flying Sauces is the world’s first fine-dining zip line experience.
Once strapped into the safety harness, participating guests soar along a 600-foot zip line route, 30 feet in the air, to a dining area in the forest above the treetops. The experience is available for breakfast, afternoon tea or dinner. Diners begin the meal with an amuse bouche followed by an inventive, seasonal, six-course menu. For dinner service, guests may opt to add a wine pairing from a selection of more than 9,000 wines from the property’s impressive cellar.
“At Soneva, we are passionate about elevating the guest experience to something that is unique and rare, and our new Flying Sauces does just that — creating an experiential dining moment to create long-lasting memories for our guests. This new experience gives our guests a new perspective of our unique island eco-system, allowing them to reconnect with the sights and sounds of nature while enjoying fine dining hospitality at the same time,” said Sonu Shivdasani, CEO and co-founder, Soneva.
Flying Sauces operates during daylight hours. The zip line route takes about one hour and 15 minutes. Dining services take an additional hour for breakfast or afternoon tea and between two and three hours for dinner. The experience is available for guests ages 8 and older, with a minimum weight requirement of 55 pounds. Flying Sauces is priced at $175 per person for breakfast, $180 for afternoon tea, $350 for dinner or $595 for dinner with wine pairings. The zip line-only experience costs $100 per person.
