Museum fun doesn’t have to end when the sun goes down, check out these museums offering overnight stays and have your own Night at the Museum adventure!
Some museums offer overnight stays for children and families while others have more adults-only slumber parties. The Natural History Museum of Los Angeles offers adults-only sleepovers that include an open bar, midnight buffet and gallery scavenger hunt. Although tickets can be a bit pricey — non-member rates start at $95 per person — think of it as a hotel stay and museum day in one.
For a more kid-friendly stay, try the Aquarium of the Pacific’s Family Sleepover package. These kid-friendly scavenger hunts, art projects and night-led tours offer a chance to experience the sea creatures in a less crowded, more relaxed setting. Children must be 6 years of age or older and families are required to sign a contract before participating. Tickets start at $70 per person for non-members.
Be sure to check with your local museums for more information about overnight stays and sleepover packages. Pack your sleeping bag and camera and prepare for a fun night of sleepless adventures.
