Did you know the term “vacation” supposedly originated in the Adirondack Mountains in the 19th century? It was the name for when affluent families left New York City for fresh air and respite. Today, you can still vacation in the Adirondacks at Whiteface Lodge, which offers a top 10 list of things to do there this summer.
