Here are four camp courses that will give you an escape from your everyday life while teaching you to adapt if life as you know it changes all of a sudden.

 

C.U.M.A. Urban Survival Training Course

Learn how to deal with the kinds of challenges that could arise in an urban setting, such as long-term power outages, natural disasters and home invasions. This class teaches how to prepare and gather supplies, react to various system failures, apply first aid and evacuate. This two-day class costs $250.

 

Boulder Outdoor Survival School Desert Navigator Course

Learn how to read a map, navigate and orient yourself during a desert excursion. This class teaches skills in fire-starting, building shelter, finding water and other essentials to surviving the desert environment. This 14-day course can be booked for $2,570.
