There’s no ignoring the world’s plastic problems. In January, China banned imports of some waste materials, including plastic bottles, forcing several countries to rethink waste policies.
From astronomical greenhouse gas amounts emitted during the process of making, filling, labeling and shipping plastic water bottles to the sobering landfill and litter statistics, efforts need to be made.
Marriott International’s eco-conscious brand Element Hotels and reusable hydration accessory company S’well join forces to do their part.
The national partnership will activate at all 25 Element Hotels in the United States, intended to inspire guests to make a positive environmental impact.
The iconic, fashionable S’well bottles are available for purchase at Element Hotels’ RESTORE pantry and in each guestroom.
“When you choose a S’well product, you’re choosing a beautiful, simple, sustainable way to keep yourself hydrated throughout the day – doing yourself and the planet a favor,” said Sarah Kauss, founder and CEO, S’well. “This partnership is a perfect opportunity to help guests start to create smart habits that they can carry with them throughout the year and wherever their adventures take them.”
S’well products are also available for purchase in hotel at Element Hotels’ sister brands, AC Hotels by Marriott and Aloft Hotels. An array of styles is offered, unique to individual locales.
This partnership is part of Marriott International’s 2025 Sustainability and Social Impact Goals, as the company makes efforts to reduce environmental impacts, build and operate sustainable hotels and source responsibly.
